Brena is a pup out of two of my dogs.  Sir Parker her father and Candy her mother.  I am raising Brena for a while, who knows she just could be my next competition dog… with a pup only some time will tell on that one, or she will be sold.  Brena is a high energy female, out on the farm if Brena is moving at all she is running.  Pups like this can get exhausting to raise… but it has been so funny lately so I had to write about it.   Who wants to go out in the cold and play with a pup?  Well not me!!  hahaha

I used to put Brena out on our deck by herself… (that is about 70 foot long), she races back and forth, weaves through the legs of chairs… I have a snow shovel leaning against the house on the deck… Brena runs between that small space… she runs behind the outside grill and weaves through the legs of the table on the deck.  I had to finally put a stop to her being out on the deck, why?…because that pup learned to turn on the faucet just enough to have steady drips that made for one gigantic ice cycle hanging down to the patio downstairs, which unfortunately is right in front of the door to go outside.

So I decided to make her mom (Candy) go out on the deck with her… well that happened only once…  Brena literally wears her mom out.  So I put Brena on the deck the other day and called Candy to go out with her and play with her daughter!!  Candy who is not crated any more except when she is in heat… RAN to her crate and crated herself rather than go out and play with Brena confined on the deck.  Candy will go out on the farm with Brena but then she can run from her or play if she wants, confined to the deck forces her to deal with the pup until I let her back in.   Then I turned to her dad and ask Parker if he would go out and play with his daughter… thankfully dad came through, what a dog… Parker goes out each time now and will just lay on the deck and let Brena wear herself out.   I get the biggest kick out of it, as I always ask Candy first if she will go out and play with Brena, and each and every time I do, Candy run into her crate  LOL  but dad always comes through…  Here is just a tiny clip of first mom playing with Brena out in the snow we had a couple weeks ago and dad laying out on the deck playing.
